2021 Cabernet Sauvignon

Dear and duly esteemed Elliptical Society members, may I introduce to you a wine of distinction, nay, a wine most ravishing and rare; sought after, it is a wine of its own place and its own time. The oracle of destiny foretold it, in all the intricate twistings and turnings of its tale, but no, not by mere name alone; although, one would not be remis in remembering it… Kirk-Landry… the name of our Estate. No, by its sturdy cordon, by the helix of its spurs, by the gentle bending of its canes in the afternoon wind, the dancing of its leaves to the motion of the sun, the moon, the planets and the stars. Resting at ease atop the hills of the Adelaide, west of el Paso de los Robles, these dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon vines have roots that dig deep, deep down, in search of lifegiving water, pulling succor and sumptuousness from the soil. Alone they stand, throughout the seasons and the years, untethered from their brethren, walked amongst, caressed by many hands, encouraged along their way, yet wiser and more knowledgeable than we mortal beings; they are linked though they share no universal support, they speak amongst each other though they share no collective mouth, they amalgamate, and they see though they share no eyes. Most importantly they work; they give selflessly of the bounty of their harvest for our own most hedonistic of pleasures. If naught else in life have you the compunction to do, I beg of you, attune yourself to this wine, listen to what it has to say, take it into your body and thus your soul.
